Summer Activities

Last week was my good friend Miranda's birthday, so a bunch of us girls headed to Olive Garden to celebrate. We had a lot of fun talking, laughing, eating more than our share of breadsticks and just having a good 'ol time. I felt kind of sorry for our poor waiter. He got quite a workout from filling glasses of raspberry peach iced tea and replacing the bread basket every 5 minutes.

Happy 18th birthday, Miranda! We love you!!

The next day, Mimi, Mom, my siblings and I went to visit some great great aunts and uncles, whom we hadn't seen in a long time. They live WAY over on the other side of town, so we got to see lots of interesting buildings and places.
We spent most of the afternoon visiting and catching up. We went to a yummy restaurant for lunch and had some good ol' Southern food. (Including a homemade chocolate pie that we took home and promptly devoured.)
It was really nice to see everyone again! I loved sitting back and listening to the conversations taking place around me. They are some of the sweetest people you will ever meet. Family is such a wonderful thing and I am so proud to be related to these incredible people!

These are the girls: Mom, Aunt Martha, Aunt Betty, Mimi, Hai Li and Me

This is Belle, Aunt Martha & Uncle L.J.'s dog. She thought Hai Li was her best friend and was constantly begging for a tummy rub.

Luke got kind of bored during the conversation and decided to take a picture of himself.

Martha & L.J. are holding hands- isn't that just adorable??? :-)
